Playing the Jigsaw Puzzle The Jigsaw Puzzles are best played in screen resolution 1024 x 768
Starting the Jigsaw Puzzle
Select the picture from the list on the Jigsaw Puzzle page.
Each time a jigsaw puzzle is started (not when you use the breakup button) the jigsaw will be cut up randomly. This
means that the pieces may be cut differently each time.
Moving Pieces
As you move the mouse over a playing piece, it will be highlighted in red. If you press and hold down the
"left" mouse button, the selected piece will follow the mouse as you move it into the white playing area. To
"drop" the piece, release the mouse button. If the piece is close to it's correct position it will snap
into place.
Buttons
The "Breakup" button does exactly that and breaks up the puzzle.
Tidy pieces "shuffles" the pieces which are NOT completely inside the picture area.
The "solve" button can be used to solve the puzzle.
Hint
If you are having trouble solving the puzzle point to the link "Point here for a hint to the picture". A thumbnail
view of the picture will appear in the lower left corner.
Solving the Puzzle
When the puzzle is correctly solved, you will be taking to the completion page. If this does not happen
and the puzzle "seems" to be solved, it is usually because a piece is in the wrong place. |
